TOURIST ATTRACTIONS

Terang is with natural beauty. Its picturesqe landscapes have been enhanced by National Trust-listed trees which include a High Street avenue of oaks planted in the 1890s, grey poplars along the highway and the plane trees of Thompson Street. The rose garden in the town centre complements the town's flora perfectly.

The town’s centrepiece remains the post office, however. The post office has a distinctive clock tower which was the first in the Commonwealth to be funded by public subscription.and has kept time since 1904.
